WWE Draft 2011

So last nights Raw saw the WWE Draft and it was a good show.
Now I came in 15 minutes late as I was playing Mortal Kombat and was determined to beat Shao Kahn, did it in the end and I rolled onto Raw to find a good looking SmackDown vs. Raw Battles Royal underway to decided the first Draft pick. Great contest, it came down to Big Show and Kofi for SmackDown and Mason Ryan and Evan Bourn for Raw. Evan and Kofi put on a good show and I must say I would love to see them two in a match in the future. SmackDown prevailed in the end earning them there first Draft pick, and shocking way to start as John Cena heads back to SmackDown for the first time in 6 years.

Eve defeating Layla bought Rey Mysterio across to Raw and Kofi Kingston defeated Sheamus to bring The Viper, Randy Orton over to SmackDown.

Later Randy took on his twin Dolph Ziggler to bring two draft picks to SmackDown, Mark Henry and Sin Cara. I said earlier in the night on Twitter that the Draft may give Sin Cara a permanent home as since he daubed he has been on both shows, but now he is sitting in the SmackDown camp.

Rey Mystreio then went on to defeat Wade Barret and bring Alberto Del Rio over to Raw.

To finish things off we had a 6 man tag match, Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown.
Team Raw was WWE Champion The Miz, CM Punk and newly acquired Alberto Del Rio. Team SmackDown was Christian and the two latest members Mark Henry and John Cena. Mark Henry had a shocking Heel turn in the match taking down Cena, then Christian. Raw picked up the win to grab the last draft pick. The last pick was once again John Cena being sent back to Raw. In my opinion this was pointless, it was a waste of two Draft picks. Also if John Cena had gone to SmackDown we would have had something very new and fresh. A silly ending to an otherwise good show.

Later today WWE.com will hold the supplemental Draft which will be 12noon ET. I will post the Draft picks in full either later today or tomorrow.

PG?

Now as we know the WWE is a PG rated show. I have heard a lot of mixed opinions on this, some people have no problem with it, and some people want the show to go back to the way things were. I personally sit in the middle, I have no problem with not purposely causing things like blood and more as long as I am entertained, but when someone bleeds during a match, for any reason, just let it go. WWE tend to point the cameras away or have a Ref come in and clean it up. The other thing is WWE contradicting themselves, doing things that aren’t exactly PG. R-Truths language became a bit rougher and slightly outside the boundaries of PG last night not to mention this whole Smoking storyline. Also we had Michael Cole bleed and use it in the act, what happened to the no blood rule?
The other thing that I find an annoyance is having PPV’s such has Extreme Rules when nothing about it will be “Extreme”. Don’t have matches that involve a hardcore nature if you can’t live up to its potential. If you agree that they should drop the PG rating use #NoMorePG on Twitter.

Questions For You.

What do you think of the Draft? Was there anyone you wanted to see moved who didn’t?

What is your opinion on the PG rating? Do you agree or disagree?

Look out for my post of the rest of the draft either later on today or tomorrow.

For now this is Matty.D Signing off.
