Air Bourn + RKO = EPIC!

All right guys sorry about the lateness of this blog but I’ve been out with Mum and Nan doing shopping.

Well Raw was pretty epic other than a few dull moments.

The main focus of the night was John Cena and the Nexus, also the members of the money in the bank.

The night started with John Cena with his typical humour, the Nexus came out and the group shared words with Cena.
During this the Raw GM sent and e-mail, it said that during the 6 on 1 Handicap match (Darren Young unable to compete) John Cena will not be aloud any out side interference, if there is interference said superstar will be suspended for 90 days. Also the Nexus must tag in and out of the match if they do not; said member will also incur the same fate.

After this good opening segment we lead into a low point as Alicia Fox faces Gail Kim, I decided to work on some art I was doing so all I know is that Alicia won and that Eve gets a rematch at Money in the Bank for the Divas Title.

The Uso’s and Tamina faced the Hart Dynasty, another great match seeing the Uso’s walk away the victors.
These teams will be going head to head for the Tag Titles this Sunday, unfortunately I feel that this story has lost steam.

Back stage we have Chris Jericho chatting to Wade Barrett, Wade basically thanking Chris for all he taught him.
Wade then bumped into Yoshi Tatsu who ended up being beaten on by the Nexus.

Next was a plug for the Money in the Bank match as Ted DiBiase and Maryse cut a good promo which had John Morrison come down and they have a little throw down.

Unfortunately this week had a guest host. The guest host was star of the Brady Bunch, Florence Henderson. So we just have to have a gimmick. We had a clip to promote the Santino Bunch vs. the Regal Bunch 8 man tag match to happen later in the night. It was followed by a slightly humorous back stage skit with Santino, Florence Henderson and William Regal.

We then have the best match of the night as Edge faces Randy Orton. It was a great match and the crowd absolutely ate it up.
The match came to an end when Jericho decided to come down, he distracted Randy and Edge took the advantage and took the win. While Edge was celebrating he turned into a code breaker, Chris then turned into an RKO.
When Randy seemed to be standing tall Evan Bourn joined the fray he gave Orton a kick to the head causing him to fall to the mat, Evan then headed to the top rope to do an Air Bourn, he jumped, he flipped and he was captured by an RKO. The moment was absolutely stunning and will be remembered for months maybe even years to come and chances are will end up in highlight reels.
The backstage guys realised how epic this moment was as it was replayed quite a few times and I was just stunned at how well it was pulled off.
I’m sure once Evan and Randy was backstage they would have been like “DID YOU SEE WHAT WE JUST DID!!”

Backstage again and John Morrison falls victim to the Nexus in a great backstage beat down.

Next was the Miz who cut a promo about taking R-Truth out the Money in the Bank. It was then that the GM reviled R-Truths replacement and the Miz’s opponent, Mark Henry.
Henry and Miz fought but it ended a no contest as Mark was thrown head first into the GM podium (notice how the laptop was conveniently removed form the podium) he was then covered in trash out of a near by bin by Miz.

Florence Henderson comes down next to introduce her gimmick match, nothing to special but little humorous as it included Doink the Clown and other gimmick stars. The Santino Bunch won and the Great Khali laid a big kiss on Florence.

Edge, promo backstage, yadda yadda yadda.
Then we cut to Evan Bourn nursing his neck backstage and he has a short face to face with Sheamus. The Nexus then tuned up so Sheamus decided to leave.
The Nexus then beats on Evan before leaving shot and Sheamus returns to mock the fallen Bourn. The Nexus return and Sheamus runs to John Cena’s locker room.

We then head into the Nexus vs. Cena. The match was good, lasting around seven minutes. Cena, after putting up a good fight, eventually was pinned after Gabriel’s 450 splash. As soon as the match was over Cena fetched a chair and wailed on Heath Slater.
The next bit was a fail, as Cena went to slide into the ring he caught the chair, and his face, on the bottom rope, once in the ring you can see he is bleeding I’m guessing from his failure to get in the ring properly.
Cena was surrounded by the Nexus when Sheamus came down with a chair and joined Cena in the ring. This was looking good until Sheamus hit the top rope for effect lost grip of the chair and it fell out of the ring, this caused him to have to go out of the ring to fetch it then get back in the ring to continue he also failed to get in the ring at one point as well.
The show closed there good thing to or they have broke something, or someone.

The show was great and the Evan, Randy moment had epic wrote all over it. Other than a few low points and the fail at the end with the chairs it was a good show.

Matty.D signing off.
