Who got Drafted?

So yesterday saw the supplemental draft making the total number of moves including the main draft 30. So let me update you with the rest of the Draft.

Daniel Bryan to SmackDown
Jack Swagger to Raw
The Great Khali to SmackDown
Jimmy Uso to SmackDown
Kelly Kelly to Raw
JTG to Raw
Alicia Fox to SmackDown
William Regal to SmackDown
Yoshi Tatsu to SmackDown
Drew McIntyre to Raw
Natalya to SmackDown
Curt Hawkins to Raw
Chris Masters to Raw
Jey Uso to SmackDown
Kofi Kingston to Raw
Ted DiBiase to SmackDown
Tyson Kidd to SmackDown
Tamina to SmackDown
Tyler Reks to Raw
Alex Riley to SmackDown
Beth Phoenix to Raw
Sheamus to SmackDown

So there it is, some are relevant, some are not so important. Some of these moves will be quite interesting; will be good to see what a new show will do for people like Daniel Bryan and Drew McIntyre.

We will hopefully see Daniel Bryan go for Wade Barrett, dig up old roots and feud over the Intercontinental Championship.
Jack Swagger will most likely continue his storyline with Michael Cole.
Drew McIntyre would be good to go for the WWE Championship, if Morrison wins at Extreme Rules we may see Drew interject later, could make some good matches.
Will Alex Riley be able to hold his own on SmackDown with out his owner The Miz?
And with Sheamus coming to SmackDown he brings the US Championship as well. Having the Intercontinental and US Championships on the same show may lead to them being Unified.

The rest I don’t see being overly relevant as they are low on the cards. There are some in there that I do like though that I feel should be higher on the cards, and could do well. Superstars such as Chris Masters, the Uso’s, and Tyler Reks.

Staying along the same lines, there are even more low and mid card superstars that I feel should be getting the pushes they never receive. People like Evan Bourn and Vladimir Kozlov. Members of the Corre and the Nexus could go far with the right push as well, would like to see Justin Gabriel break out on his own and Mason Ryan could be very formidable.

Questions for you.

What do you think of the Supplemental Draft? Yay or Nay on the new drafts?

Who would you like to see pushed? Or who would you like to see break out on there own from the Corre or the Nexus?

That will most probably be all for this week so this is Matty.D signing off.

WWE Draft 2011

So last nights Raw saw the WWE Draft and it was a good show.
Now I came in 15 minutes late as I was playing Mortal Kombat and was determined to beat Shao Kahn, did it in the end and I rolled onto Raw to find a good looking SmackDown vs. Raw Battles Royal underway to decided the first Draft pick. Great contest, it came down to Big Show and Kofi for SmackDown and Mason Ryan and Evan Bourn for Raw. Evan and Kofi put on a good show and I must say I would love to see them two in a match in the future. SmackDown prevailed in the end earning them there first Draft pick, and shocking way to start as John Cena heads back to SmackDown for the first time in 6 years.

Eve defeating Layla bought Rey Mysterio across to Raw and Kofi Kingston defeated Sheamus to bring The Viper, Randy Orton over to SmackDown.

Later Randy took on his twin Dolph Ziggler to bring two draft picks to SmackDown, Mark Henry and Sin Cara. I said earlier in the night on Twitter that the Draft may give Sin Cara a permanent home as since he daubed he has been on both shows, but now he is sitting in the SmackDown camp.

Rey Mystreio then went on to defeat Wade Barret and bring Alberto Del Rio over to Raw.

To finish things off we had a 6 man tag match, Team Raw vs. Team SmackDown.
Team Raw was WWE Champion The Miz, CM Punk and newly acquired Alberto Del Rio. Team SmackDown was Christian and the two latest members Mark Henry and John Cena. Mark Henry had a shocking Heel turn in the match taking down Cena, then Christian. Raw picked up the win to grab the last draft pick. The last pick was once again John Cena being sent back to Raw. In my opinion this was pointless, it was a waste of two Draft picks. Also if John Cena had gone to SmackDown we would have had something very new and fresh. A silly ending to an otherwise good show.

Later today WWE.com will hold the supplemental Draft which will be 12noon ET. I will post the Draft picks in full either later today or tomorrow.

PG?

Now as we know the WWE is a PG rated show. I have heard a lot of mixed opinions on this, some people have no problem with it, and some people want the show to go back to the way things were. I personally sit in the middle, I have no problem with not purposely causing things like blood and more as long as I am entertained, but when someone bleeds during a match, for any reason, just let it go. WWE tend to point the cameras away or have a Ref come in and clean it up. The other thing is WWE contradicting themselves, doing things that aren’t exactly PG. R-Truths language became a bit rougher and slightly outside the boundaries of PG last night not to mention this whole Smoking storyline. Also we had Michael Cole bleed and use it in the act, what happened to the no blood rule?
The other thing that I find an annoyance is having PPV’s such has Extreme Rules when nothing about it will be “Extreme”. Don’t have matches that involve a hardcore nature if you can’t live up to its potential. If you agree that they should drop the PG rating use #NoMorePG on Twitter.

Questions For You.

What do you think of the Draft? Was there anyone you wanted to see moved who didn’t?

What is your opinion on the PG rating? Do you agree or disagree?

Look out for my post of the rest of the draft either later on today or tomorrow.

For now this is Matty.D Signing off.

Vince says, WWE is not Wrestling!?

Yes you read that right, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is now claiming that WWE is not a wrestling show but an Entertainment show. World Wrestling Entertainment with its biggest PPV being called Wrestlemania is NOT a wrestling show. What the hell is Vince thinking?
Now I personally am not going to go into to much detail but if you want to read more check out the links at the bottom of the Blog, but I will express my own discomfort in this change here. I find its things like this that are sending more and more fans and Wrestlers (not superstars as WWE says) to other organizations such as TNA, ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
I am not the only one who is baffled by this recent change, in an interview with Rob McNichol from The Sun Bret Hart also expressed his feelings about this change. I will also put a link to that at the bottom of the Blog.

R-Truth Heel Turn
Off of that main headline I am going to talk about R-Truths recent Heel turn.
It was a typical Character turn and it was well done, he got the fans against him quick and was able to play the part very well, but is this a good move? I am hoping that it will make a good storyline and some good matches with John Morrison and John Cena, but as R-Truth is someone that plays with the crowd, epically in his entrance, how is he going to play it now the fans are against him? We may see some changes in his character to adhere to the storyline, as long as it’s not a cheesy character it should go well.

Awesome Kong
You all may have noticed the recent promos for a new diva, that diva being Awesome Kong from TNA. In the video you see Kong holding a little blond doll, stroking its head before flicking the head off. So who is it Kong is targeting? And is she going to be Heel or Face? I am guessing it will be someone like Kelly Kelly or Michele McCool or even Beth Phoenix who will be the target as the hair colour of the doll, is blond. No matter who it is though I just hope that she brings some actual ability to the Divas division, I know it will be a challenge to take down Kong as she out sizes all the Divas currently in WWE.

Questions for you.
So something I am going to try is a “Questions for you” section. In this section I will post a few questions for you guys to think about or even answer in the comments or on twitter to me.

So here are the questions: How do you feel about the idea of Vince’s claims that WWE is not a wrestling company?

How do you think R-Truth id going to do as a Heel character? Do you think it will last or will he return to a Face sooner than later?

Are you looking forward to Awesome Kong? And who do you want her to come in and feud with?

Well I hope my return blog tickled your brain enough to come back if I keep writing, I hope to hear from some of you soon.

For now this is Matty.D Signing off.

MattyD95DX’s WWE Blog may Return!

Ok, about a year ago after Extreme Rules 2010 I started writing these blogs. After 5 months and 76 blogs I gave it up. Reasons being that it took up to much of my time and I ended up on a schedule, also (and this is the main reason) I only had a couple people reading it, so I came to the conclusion of “What’s the point?”

I have started to miss writing these as it gave me purpose and something to do in my spare time, so I am thinking about coming back! If I do return I most probably wont be on any sort of schedule like before, I will just write when I want and about things that is on my mind, or just my current opinion, no more run downs (unless I feel like it) and less on recent news. This blog will become more on my opinion and where I think things are heading and such.

Anyway if you think that I should start writing again, don’t just sit there, let me know!

For now this is Matty.D signing off.
