Well I know I haven’t posted in a while, and I know my
last blog wasn’t my best, but I have been slightly side tracked as the NFL
season is back so I am spending a lot of time on that side of my life. But don’t
worry this doesn’t mean I’m stopping, I will still write blogs it just might
not be as much.
So I am not leaving you with no blog this week as its
Night Of Champions this Sunday and we have a full match card to review.
So let’s have a rundown of the matches to be hitting the
ring this Sunday at Night of Champs.
Intercontinental
Championship
Cody Rhodes vs.
Ted DiBiase

With the recent ambush on SmackDown it has marked yet
another character turn as Ted is now Face.
I don’t see this being the best match of the night but
should be sure to entertain; I predict Ted will come out new Champ.
Divas
Championship
Beth Phoenix
vs. Kelly Kelly
The Divas of Doom have been pushing hard to make the
Divas division better and it is happening just very slowly. The top Divas are
still Beth and Natalya, amongst all current active Divas in the WWE you can’t
get better than these two. Kelly Kelly still needs to work on her moves to make
a match between Beth and Kelly great instead of acceptable. WWE need to take
the Divas more seriously and focus on giving the ones who are still “messy” in
the ring some proper training. They should bring back Fit Finlay, he trained
most of the Divas from yesteryear including Lita and Trish Stratus not to
mention current TNA Knockout Tara AKA Victoria as well as others.
This won’t be a great match but should help the division
improve.
I really want Beth to come out as champion from this
match.
WWE Tag Team
Championships
Evan Bourn
& Kofi Kingston (AirBoom) vs. The Miz & R-Truth

Not to fussed on who wins the match as the story should
go forward well regardless, I just hope for a great match.
US Championship
Fatal 4 Way
Dolph Ziggler
vs. Alex Riley vs. John Morrison vs. Jack Swagger
Fatal 4 ways always promise to excite and I don’t see
this one being any different, all four stars are great in ring performers, I’m
looking forward to seeing how A-Ry has developed, I’m looking forward to John
Morrison flying around the ring and outside the ring with his parkour style and
Jack Swagger and Dolph should bring forward mat wrestling and Submissions.
My support will be on Alex but
I don’t mind seeing Morrison win this either. I think that Jack and Dolph’s
recent problems about Vicki will be there down fall.
WWE Championship
Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena

On the other hand though there
have been some great matches leading towards the PPV, most notable being the 8
man tag match on Raw a couple weeks ago, which of course Cena won.
I’m not bothered but that
match may just surprise me.
World Heavyweight Championship
Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry
Randy and Mark have had a
great lead up to this match, Randy always comes to impress and Mark has been
improving greatly over the past couple months. I think we should be in for an
interesting match or should I say fight as things really blew up on this week’s
SmackDown. With the show being in Toronto Canada we had Edge make a special appearance
and hosted a special Cutting Edge where he interviewed both Mark and Randy. The
two men were given a no contact rule for the duration of the Cutting Edge so
Mark and Randy were not allowed to touch each other. Edge and Randy both gave
Mark some probing questions about Marks long career and why he still hasn’t won
a WWE World Title.
The Heat rose in the ring and Edge pointed out that the
no contact rule was only during the Cutting Edge, while saying this he moved
the stalls out the way and headed out the ring before proceeding to say, “That
the Cutting Edge is now officially over.” As soon as that was said Edge left
and Mark and Randy went into a Brawl, Theodore Long called on a load of mid and
low card Superstars to help split the two but it was no good. In the end all
the mid and low carders got floored and Randy received a Worlds Strongest Slam
leaving Mark as the only man standing. He posed with the World Title and that’s
where the show closed. It defiantly looks like Mark will be the winner this
Sunday.
CM Punk vs.
Triple H
No DQ

The Kevin Nash side of this story has sort of fizzled out
due to the fact that he was unable to wrestle. WWE have released Nash from his
contract according to the WWE Website but anything could happen still, you
never know we may see him interfere in this match.
With the DQ rule in place the match is open to more possibilities
almost anything could happen. I am hoping for the same sort of match that we
got for Christian vs. Randy in there great match from SummerSlam.
Sin Cara vs.
Sin Cara??
This is an unconfirmed match, it may not even happen on
this PPV, but it’s something that has to be mention as the real Sin Cara has
now returned for the potential match to come.
After the Heel Sin Cara lost to Daniel Bryan by DQ on this
week’s SmackDown the Sin Cara music played and the Face Sin Cara came to the
ring in the usual fashion. The two had a standoff and it was obvious that the
match may be around the corner.
Questions For
You.
What are your predictions?
Can you see the difference between Sin Cara and Sin Cara?
What match you most looking forward to?
That’s all for now, until Monday this is Matty.D signing
off.
