Last night’s Hell in a Cell PPV lacked the buzz that
makes a PPV exciting, the crowd was dead through most of the event only
cheering and booing at key moments. Due to this lack of enthusiasm matches that
were good came across dull and boring, on top of this lack of buzz were the
bland Hell in a Cell matches, ever since the PG rule was made Hell in a Cells
just haven’t come across well at all.
The show kicked off with a very solid match between
Sheamus and Christian, Sheamus was shown as a very forceful competitor as
Christian at first struggled to take the Great White down and kept his distance
till he got his chance to get the momentum in his favour. When the match slowed
the crowd became quiet and caused the match to become dull.
After some big time moves Sheamus took the win with the
Bro Kick.
Before that match started between the entrances of
Sheamus and Christian R-Truth and The Miz showed up in the crowd with tickets
and was getting their seats for the show. John Laurinaitis and some Security
came down and removed the two from the crowd and you knew that wouldn’t be the
last you will see of them.
Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara was next in line and the match was
a good one, the two showed what Mexican wrestling is all about and I hope we
see more from these two in the future, whether it be as Sin Cara’s or other
names. Unfortunately though the crowd didn’t feel my liking for this match and
stayed quiet once again and also some “boring” chants started.
Those on Twitter and I seemed to be enjoying the match so
for the crowd to react in such a way really ruined it.
The Blue Sin Cara picked up the win.
A match for the WWE Tag Team Titles between AirBoom and
the Team of Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler was after the Sin Cara’s match, it
did liven the crowd a bit more but not enough to keep them going for the rest
of the show. They put on a great back and forth match that showed the development
of both teams well.
AirBoom was able to pick up the win and keep the Tag
belts to the anger of Vicki Guerrero.
Later in the show Triple H is told that someone is
causing problems in the locker rooms, armed with security Triple H and John
Laurinaitis head in to find the Miz and R-Truth beating on Kofi and Evan in a
ransacked locker room.
The security took Truth and Miz away while Triple H
shouts at John.
After the Tag match we had the first of two Hell in a
Cell matches, Randy Orton vs. Mark Henry. First way to describe this match is “Worst
Hell in a Cell match ever”; it was to short and didn’t make enough use of weapons
or the Cell itself.
Randy did nail Mark with the RKO but shockingly Mark
kicked out of the pin after. The ending from there didn’t hold together well
either as Mark turns a Punt attempt into the World’s Strongest slam to pick up
the win.
It was the post-match that was more exciting and I think
it should have been included in the match before the Cell was raised. After the
match was won the Cell was raised and Mark celebrated, he then grabbed a chair
in an attempt to break Randy’s leg like he had done to others before him.
Randy was able to save himself though moving his Chair
clasped leg out the way at the last minute, Randy then used the chair viciously
on the fleeing Mark Henry.
We moved into a Promo from Cody Rhodes next, in the promo
he bagged the old Intercontinental Championship and revealed a new belt. It was
in the design of the classic Title with up to date WWE logos and a great
looking White Leather strap. It looks brilliant a real classic, this is the
type of change we like. Now they need to do the same thing for the WWE
Championship, it would be great to bring back a classic designed updated Belt, I
personally like the classic look of belts and not the flashy ones like the
Spinner US Championship of the past or the Current WWE Championship, and I really
don’t like the current design of the Tag belts.
After Cody revealed the belt John Laurinaitis appeared to
make an impromptu match for the new Title. Cody was forced to defend the belt
against John Morrison and with no time to prepare he had to do it in the suit
he was wearing. It was a good match and Cody did come away still holding the Title.
Next was another better than usual Divas match between
Kelly Kelly and Beth Phoenix, the match came across well and Kelly continues to
show improvement, the end of the match though seemed a bit messed up.
Kelly looked to be taking the win but Beth kicked out literally
as the Refs hand was about to hit the mat for 3, the crowd were unsure whether
it was a win or a loss. Natalya then got on the apron to have a go at the Ref.
Why complain? Beth just kicked out that’s a good thing. I am going to guess
that Nat was meant to jump up before or during the Pin, if it wasn’t for Beth
kicking out the match would end in the wrong way. Eve then went after Natalya
but she was foiled. Beth then locked in the unique and painful looking submission
move that Natalya has been using over the last couple of shows. After Kelly
screamed in pain and grabbed the ropes Beth let her go, the Ref turned his back
to tell Beth off and Natalya hit Kelly with mic she was holding, a Glam Slam
later and Beth Phoenix finally wins the Divas Title.
Last match of the
night, the Triple Threat Hell in a Cell for the WWE title, this one was more
interesting than the previous but still didn’t live up to past Hell in a Cell
matches.
The match went well and was rough but not as rough as we
would have liked, mid-way through it wasn’t looking good for Alberto Del Rio so
Ricardo took out the Ref outside the Cell, Unlocked the Cell door and came in
with a Steel Pipe. He was stopped by Cena and forcefully removed from the Cell.
Alberto had got the pipe though and used it on Cena. Leaving him outside the
Cell, Del Rio then locked himself into the Cell and threw the Key away under
the ring.
CM Punk and Del Rio fought for the win and no matter how
much Cena tried he could break his way back in. With Cena out of the loop we
was guaranteed a new Champion and that was Del Rio after Punk had been hit
across the head with the Steel pipe, as soon as the Cell was raised though Cena
was on Del Rio.
All Hell did then break loose. Two hooded men appeared from
nowhere and stared beating on Cena, Del Rio and Punk. The two men were soon
revealed to be Truth and Miz.
As Triple H and Laurinaitis came to the ring the Cell was
lowered so no one could get in to stop the anarchy as Miz and Truth were now
beating on the Refs that were in the ring as well as striking camera men who
were also inside.
Almost the whole WWE locker room came down in an attempt
to break into the Cell but all they could do was stand there and shake the cage
as Miz and Truth continued beat on anyone inside the Cell.
Cops appeared as well to arrest the two of them as a man
with bolt cutters broke through the chain holding the door. As soon as the door
was open Truth and Miz held up their hands and went down onto their knees and
gave themselves up.
Triple H in a rage was determined to get at the two as
the cops handcuffed them. Trips did break free from being held back and beat on
Truth and Miz pushing Laurinaitis out of the way to do so.
When he was finally held back the two men were removed
and the show ended.
The ending of the show was the best part of the whole
night but it did come 20 minutes earlier than it should have. We paid for a 3
hour show and we got a 2 hour and 40 minute show, WWE owe us 20 minutes worth
of Entertainment.
Tonight’s Raw should prove to be interesting and I wonder
how the storylines will develop heading into Vengeance and towards Survivor
Series.
I give this PPV 2.5 out of 5 stars. If the crowd was livelier
and the Cell matches were more exciting and had more substance I would of given
a higher rating.
What did you think?
What do you think is next?
What is your favourite Hell in a Cell match from the
past?
Tune in for tonight’s Raw and for now this is Matty.D
signing off.
Last go with in the evening, the Three-way Threat Heck in a very Mobile or portable for that WWE title 雨飞, this one was more interesting compared to the earlier but still didn?¡¥t fulfill prior Terrible in the Mobile or portable suits.
ReplyDeleteYour match up gone nicely as well as had been hard however, not while rough once we would have appreciated, mid-way by means of that wasn't 英文SEO looking great for Alberto Andel Rio thus Ricardo acquired the actual Ref outside of the Cell, Unlocked your Cellular doorway and came in using a Steel Water pipe. They has been ceased through Cena as well as purposely taken off the actual Mobile. Alberto acquired obtained your tube though and also used it about Cena. Leaving your ex outside the Mobile or portable, Del Rio then locked themself in the Cellular and threw the main element aside under the ring.
CM Punk as well as Del Rio fought against for that win with no matter just how much Cena tried out he might split his or her made use of within. Along with Cena out of the trap many of us had been confirmed 外贸SEOa brand new Champion knowning that has been Delete Rio following Punk was strike across the go with all the Material water pipe, right after the Cellular spent my childhood years even though Cena ended up being in Andel Rio.
