Ring Collapse at Vengeance!

Last night WWE put on an absolute gem of a PPV, unique, different and had some amazing moments.

The main point to mention is the ring collapsing during the Big Show and Mark Henry match. The match was a better than usual Big Man matches and it could have gone either way. Mark kicked out after Choke Slams and Show kicked out after the World Strongest Slam, it was quite exciting. The ring was already showing signs of weakness from the two big men and when Mark Superplexed Show from the Turnbuckle the ring collapsed under the weight from the opposite corner. Ok this was obviously planned; the post that seemed to cause the ring to fall must have been rigged in some way to cause it to fall like it did.
Also on a side note I know this isn’t the first time this has happened, and a lot of you may remember to, those who are newer to the WWE won’t know of this.

Back in June 2003 Big Show had a match on SmackDown against the now UFC star, Brock Lesnar. Brock also Superplexed Show off the same turnbuckle and the ring collapsed in almost the exact same way, the after math of that match was also very much the same as this one.
If you want to watch that match click HERE.

So not only did that match end as a no contest as both men were escorted from the ring by EMT’s , Show also  on a small flatbed vehicle, but the following WWE Championship match between John Cena and Alberto Del Rio went ahead in the damaged ring.

The WWE Championship match starts slow but picks up as this one of kind never before seen match went on. The match did pick up and went further than the broken ring. It made its way up the ramp, and backstage. The match was a nail biter and it could have gone either way as both superstars came close to being down till the count of 10, at one point Cena was buried under a load of metal yet was still able to climb out before the count of 10.
Back out into the arena and Cena is thrown through a giant V as part of the staging, Del Rio then sets up a Table and lays Cena on it before climbing the nearby staging in an attempt to jump off, Cena was quick up though and pulled down Del Rio through the table below, even then Del Rio still rose. Back at the announcer’s tables and Cena looks to be the winner as he gives Del Rio an Attitude Adjustment through the Spanish Announcers table. As Del Rio was about to be counted out Cena is attacked by The Miz and R-Truth who was victorious earlier in the night thanks to the help of Kevin Nash.
Even then Cena still pulled himself to his feet, it was the title belt to the head though that finally kept him down and for Del Rio to take the win in this astonishingly good match.

Although those two matches were the main highlights of the night all other matches also came to impress.
The show started with a great tag team match between the team of Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger going against AirBoom. It was a great way to start the show and it showed the great development in the Tag Team matches.
It was a nicely lengthened back and forth match that eventually saw AirBoom retain after pinning Dolph Ziggler.
As soon as that match was over Zack Ryder came to the ring for his US Championship match against the recently pinned Ziggler.
After AirBoom was ejected from ring side for chucking Dolph in the ring when he tried to leave, it was easy for Dolph steal the win from Zack who put up a good fight.

Beth Phoenix and Eve put on an impressive Divas match; it was a straight forward one on one match as Natalya and Kelly were banned from ringside.
It was longer than usual and both Divas put on a good show which the crowd seemed to enjoy. Beth pulled off the win.

Christian and Sheamus put on another good show with Sheamus coming out victorious again.

Triple H and Punk then went against The Miz and R-Truth, a great match that really showed that even though Triple H is 42, he still got game.
Triple H and Punk worked brilliantly as a unit using some underhanded manoeuvres while the ref wasn’t looking. I hope that we see more of Triple H and Punk together in the road to Survivor Series.
The match broke down slightly as Truth and Triple H brawled outside the ring by the ring bell area. As CM Punk attempted to put Miz away in the ring Kevin Nash turned up through the crowd and struck Triple H down. Miz and Truth then took advantage laying Punk out with a double team move which was like a 2 person Skull Crushing Finale. Miz and Truth stole the win in this great match.
After the match Kevin Nash continued to beat on Triple H. Once back in the ring Nash lays Triple H out with an awkward Jack Knife Powerbomb that looked painful due to Triple H’s awkward landing, fingers crossed Trips is not injured.
Kevin Nash looked bigger and more toned; he may have been training for Survivor Series.
Putting the pieces together it is looking like Survivor Series will see Triple H team with CM Punk, John Cena, The Rock and someone yet to be pulled into the story, vs. R-Truth, the Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Kevin Nash and once again someone else who isn’t in the story yet.

The two missing members of the Survivor Series team could be Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes who went head to head next which saw Orton victorious in yet another good match.

The whole PPV was great, all the matches were brilliant and the results were interesting and things should be worth watching in the next few weeks.

I give this PPV 4.5 out 5.
The new Twitter pop ups knocked that 0.5 off of that, otherwise I can’t find a fault.

Questions for you.

Do you agree with my Survivor Series team prediction?

How do you guys think The Rock will be bought into the Storyline?

Disappointed that the Undertaker didn’t show up?

What did you think of the PPV and did you like the Ring collapse angle?

That’s all for now Matty.D singing off!

  1. Again with the announcer?¡¥s tables along with Cena looks being the success because he gives Del Rio an Attitude Realignment over the Spanish language Announcers table. Since Andel Rio concerned Buy SWTOR Creditsto become measured away Cena is actually assaulted from the Miz and also R-Truth who had previously been victorious previously during the night due to the assistance of Kevin Nash.
Still Cena nonetheless ripped themself to be able to his or her ft, it turned out the particular subject belt towards the mind though in which Cheap SWTOR Credits finally held your pet along and then for Del Rio to look at get with this amazingly very good match.

Although those two suits ended up the main features in the night time other suits also located impress.
The actual present commenced which has a fantastic draw group go with relating to the crew of Dolph Ziggler and also Connector Sway planning against AirBoom. It had been a terrific SWTOR Credits way to commence the particular display and yes it demonstrated the great development in the Label Crew complements.
It was a properly lengthened forward and backward complement that sooner or later saw AirBoom maintain after pinning Dolph Ziggler.
As soon as that complement has been more than Zack Ryder stumbled on the wedding ring pertaining to their Us all Tournament complement contrary to the lately pinned Ziggler.
Following AirBoom ended up being thrown coming from band facet regarding throwing Dolph inside ring as he attempted to leave, it turned out possible for Dolph steal the acquire coming from Zack which set up a fantastic battle.
