Rey and Jack take a swim.

This week saw a good SmackDown! Up until the very end when they ruined the last match with some bad editing.

At the start of the show we had another very well put together promo from Kane of him reviling who Undertakers attacker is.
In storyline Kane said that the Undertaker awoke and spoke only the name of his attacker before closing his eyes again.
The name the Undertake spoke was apparently Rey Mysterio but I can see there being some sort of twist in this path we are on.

The last match of the night was Jack Swagger vs. Rey Mysterio once again but this time it is no disqualification.
The two started out in the ring and fought into the crowd, once in the crowd we saw some of the worst editing I’ve ever seen during WWE programming.
As they were in the crowd we saw parts of the fight randomly skipped, and once saw a move shown twice just from another angle.
The two fought into the hallways and then out onto the street. Jack then was able to carry Rey over to the Gulf of Mexico. As he was about to throw Rey in, Rey was able to reverse into a head scissors and sent Jack head first into the cold water.
When all seemed over Kane appeared and Choke Slammed Rey in as well closing the show there.

Other matches included Drew vs. Christian in a very good opening contest; I must say it was the best I’ve seen from Christian since he made his return from TNA.
Christian won after rolling Drew up to get the pin.

Big Show beat Luke Gallows by DQ, all though Show won it was the S.E.S that stood tall as they banded together to try and break Big Shows right hand.

Dolph beat Kofi once again this time by disqualification as after Vicki slapped Kofi, Kofi went into a rage and started pounding on Dolph, when Kofi didn’t stop even when Dolph was in the ropes he was called on disqualification.
It was a new side to Kofi and one I quite like. As Dolph won the match he will be going for the Intercontinental Title next week. If he wins we should see the rematch at SummerSlam.

The self proclaimed co Women’s Champions LayCool had to defend against Tiffany. It was originally going to be Layla vs. Tiffany but Vicki Guerrero changed the match allowing Michelle McCool to defend in Layla’s place.
Michelle won after interference from Layla.
Once the match was done Teddy Long appeared on the big screen and said that there can only be one Women’s Champion and they have one week to decide who it will be or he will decide for them.
It’s a shame that they are going to move back to one title as I would have liked to of seen a tag Women’s championship. Also I don’t like that this could show cracks in the best Women’s Tag team that we have seen in a long time.

Overall it was good show other than the bad editing during the last match, there was also a moment in the Kofi, Dolph match that they focused on Vicki when there was action we would have liked to of seen.

Anyway that’s all for now Matty.D signing off.

Bye Bye Eli.

I am going to try and keep this blog short.

This weeks NXT saw the second poll of this season and the second elimination.

Before the poll was reviled we had an open mic challenge and a few matches.

The open mic challenge was a chance for the rookies to have one last say before the poll was reviled.
They had 60 seconds to talk about a subject of there choice. All the rookies did well in this challenge I believe they all was able to shine.

After the beginning segment we had our first match. “Showtime” Percy Watson vs. Zack Ryder.
The match was solid Percy Watson picked up the win and performed well.

Michael McGillicutty went up against Eli Cottonwood and took the win in an ok match.

The third match was Husky Harris vs. Kaval.
Another great match but any match with Kaval in is a great one. I can’t wait to see him with someone like Evan Bourn, or Rey Mysterio.
Unfortunately Kaval did not prevail in this match yet again, as Husky took the win.

Now it was time for the poll to be reviled.

1. Michael McGillicutty
2. Kaval
3. Alex Riley
4. Percy Watson
5. Lucky Cannon
6. Husky Harris
7. Eli Cottonwood

The immunity that Michael McGillicutty won last week, seemed to be unneeded as he took the top spot knocking Kaval down to number 2. I was shocked by this as I don’t see McGillicutty as that great, I agree with Miz he is mediocre.

As Eli was last he was eliminated, and he wasn’t happy about it, as he decided to take his anger out on the other rookies as he started attacking Husky and others.
He finally walked away pushing Morrison out of the way.
The rest of the rookies had a chance to have there say but during this Eli came back to the ring and continued to fight the rookies, the show closed there.

An ok NXT with an interesting poll, this should lead into some more interesting moments and I look forward to seeing more of these rookies shine.

Team Raw is falling apart.

Last night saw Raw and apparently taped straight after was next weeks Raw, there are spoilers out there but I have not read them as I don’t want to ruin it for myself.

Through out last nights Raw the team created to take on the Nexus was just falling apart.
The show started with Cena cutting a promo, he was interrupted by Jericho who wants to be recognized as the leader of Team Raw not Cena.
Cena quickly moved to say that if that’s what he wants that’s what he can be because all Cena wants is to beat the Nexus.
They had a bit of a tiff which leads to the GM forcing them to tag later in the night.

After this brilliant opening segment we lead into a brilliant opening match, as Randy Orton faced Jey Uso. Jimmy and Tamina were at ring side but didn’t make much effect, and Sheamus was sitting at the announcers table looking on.
Randy made short work of the Uso and won the match.
After the pin Jimmy started fighting Randy, Sheamus got in the ring and headed to do his big boot on Randy but Randy saw it coming and ducked down so the boot struck Jimmy. Sheamus then turned straight into an awesome looking RKO.
Miz saw an opportunity and came down to the ring with a ref to cash in his Money in the Bank.
As they was getting ready to go Orton jumped back in the ring and RKO’d the Miz as well before leavening them in the ring.

After an ad break we return to find Sheamus and Miz in the ring arguing when the GM makes them team to go against the earlier made team of Cena and Jericho.

Edge and Great Khali go head to head because Edge does not believe that Khali should be on the team, Edge said that if he beats Khali, Khali is off the team.
Edge ended up fleeing the ring as the Nexus came down and surrounded Khali.
The Nexus allowed Khali to leave.

Another ad break, then we lead into the Nexus vs. a different 7 man Raw team.
Evan Bourn, The Hart Dynasty, Yoshi Tatsu, Mark Henry, Jerry “The King” Lawler and Goldust.
The match was of elimination style and Team Raw ended up being whitewashed by the Nexus.
The match was good other than the lower down members of the Raw team.

After a lame Divas contest we saw John Morrison up against Ted DiBiase. R-Truth was at ring side and attempted to help Morrison but ended up costing him the match. Morrison then verbally lashed out at Truth showing more of the Raw teams current down fall.

We then had the last match of the night where Jericho and Cena went against Sheamus and Miz.
The match saw Jericho and Cena argue through out, Jericho ended up nailing a Code Breaker on Cena and leaving him to be pinned. After the match Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho but it was reversed into an STF.
The rest of the team came down but everything just fell apart as Edge speared Khali making it just go downhill from there.

Will the Raw team hold together before SummerSlam? Or will Cena have to find some new recruits?

You can look it up in spoilers or do what I will do and hold out till next week.

On other news my phone has been delayed in its repairs so I will be attempting to make SummerSlam BBQ plans via my old phone so if I miss you out its because I do not have your number. Text messages out soon.

50th BLOG!! Rey vs. Kane for SummerSlam.

Sorry about the lateness of this blog, been out in Harlow today but I am here now.

Well to start off, this is my 50th Blog!! So I just want to say thanks to my readers, epically my number one reader Tommy Clee, so thanks to you all.

Now let’s get on to SmackDown!

This week opened with a brilliant promo from our new World Heavyweight Champion Kane.
It was well edited and put together with background music and cuts to past events.
He basically justified himself on cashing in the money in the bank, and saying that he did what he did for his fallen brother.

At the end of the show we had Rey vs. Jack in a 2 out of 3 falls match to decide the No.1 contender for Kane’s title. Now I didn’t really understand why they did this match as Rey should have his rematch clause to use.
The first fall went to Rey when Jack got disqualified for holding his ankle lock although Rey was on the ropes.
Jack got the second when he was able to get Rey to tap to the lock in the centre of the ring.
And the third fall went to Rey after he did a reversal to Jacks power bomb into a pin. The match was good up until that final moment as the reversal of the power bomb was sloppy.
After the match Jack went to try and injure Rey further but was stopped by the big red monster who had come to the rescue.
After clearing Jack from the ring Kane approached Rey, Kane helped Rey up and raised his hand. It all seemed to be over, Rey got out the ring and was going to leave when Kane came running back; he caught Rey back in the ring and gave him a choke slam.

As Rey won the 2 out of 3 falls match he will be heading to SummerSlam to take on Kane, but things can still change between now and SummerSlam.

During the night S.E.S member Luke Gallows was meant to go up against the Big Show.
Once the S.E.S got to the ring, Punk called Gallows back out the ring and pointed for the mystery man to get in the ring as his replacement.
The match started but didn’t last long as the Big Show got control and proceeded to remove the mask.
Once the mask was removed we could all see it was Joey Mercury. The crowd didn’t seem shocked or surprised and neither was I. The fact that we had figured out that the masked man was Joey ages ago, the moment lost its impact.
Since they kept him masked for so long they shouldn’t of unmasked him, it would have been better to keep him as a masked aslant.

We also saw “Dashing” Cody Rhodes tagged with Drew McIntyre to face Matt Hardy and Christian. Good match overall ended with Matt inadvertently hitting Christian, then Drew took advantage to pick up the win.

We also saw seeds being planted for a possible Intercontinental Title match at SummerSlam, as Doplh Ziggler beat Kofi Kingston in a non title match.

We are now on the road to SummerSlam, and I am looking forward to the event regardless of the show, but because of my BBQ. I do hope the invited can make it. And just FYI it will be Robbie’s Birthday bash as well as he turns 17 the next day.

Anyway that’s all for now Matty.D signing off for the 50th time.

NXT Run into Obstacles.

This weeks NXT was better than last week and I enjoyed this weeks NXT challenge, the Obstacle course.

The night started with MVP’s VIP Lounge, with his guest Percy Watson.
The segment started serious as MVP spoke about last weeks actions by Percy. After they settled that they went on to more cheery subjects.
Matt Stryker came out and asked MVP and Percy, why Percy is the next break out star.
It was a great opening promo to kick start the show.

After there promo Cody and Husky came out, Matt Stryker posted the same question to them.
This lead into Percy and MVP tagging against Rhodes, and Harris.
A good match well performed and no faults to be seen. Husky and Cody took the win.

Alex Riley went up against Lucky Cannon. Riley won very quickly dominating the match all the way through, it made Lucky look bad but may have boosted Alex’s persona.
After the match Miz did the Skull Crushing Finale to Lucky on to the MITB brief case.

To end the show we had the Obstacle course.
Now this Obstacle course was a great improvement on last season’s course. Before the rookies tackled the course, the ones that hadn’t already had the chance to tell us why they should be number 1 got the chance to do so.
Then the Rookies went to the course. Each one of them looked good (other than Eli, Morrison was not impressed more embarrassed)
McGillicutty set the bar and no one could beat it, Kaval came close but the crate push at the end slowed him down.

With McGillicutty winning he has won immunity and won’t be eliminated next week.

The next NXT poll will be reviled next week so get over to wwe.com and cast your vote now.

Matty.D’s NXT poll:

1. Kaval
2. Alex Riley
3. “Showtime” Percy Watson
4. Husky Harris
5. Lucky Cannon
6. Michael McGillicutty
7. Eli Cottenwood

That’s all for now Matty.D signing off.

The War is on!

Last night saw the best Raw show this year.
People around the world have been talking about the events on Twitter and thesun.co.uk also did an article confirming my earlier statement.

The show was full to the brim with great matches, promos and surprises combined with WWE’s awesome story telling.

The show kicked off with a match worthy of being on a PPV.
Edge, Chris Jericho, and Randy Orton went head to head in a Triple Threat match to decide the No.1 Contender to Sheamus’s WWE Championship.
The 3 men put on a brilliant match; really got all of us pumped for the rest of the night.
Randy Orton pulled off the win after nailing the RKO on both Edge and Chris.

After the match Edge called Chris back to the ring saying that there rivalry needs to be finished.
Chris returned to the ring and said that if he wanted he could have Nexus come down and beat the hell out of Edge as he feels he is personally responsible for there formation.
Nexus did come down and beat the hell out of Edge. When it seemed all good for Chris the Nexus turned to him and beat him up as well.

Backstage Cena is interviewed where he hints towards joining the Nexus in his confrontation later.

Eve and Maryse fought which lead to Ted and Morrison brawling.

Miz then had a killer promo with Sheamus pushing his money in bank persona. In fact on Twitter, after the show Cena put that Miz may be his favourite superstar at the present moment.
When Sheamus went to leave the GM made a match for him and Evan Bourn.
It was a gem of a match which ended with Sheamus winning.
The Miz sat by the ring with his case through the match, after the bell rang Miz got in the ring and attacked Sheamus, he beat him with the brief case then nailed a Skull Crushing Finale to Sheamus straight into the case.
He then went to cashing in his Money in the Bank, the ref tried to get Sheamus up, but he wasn’t moving. Before the bell rang to begin the match R-Truth came down. As soon as Miz saw Truth, Miz went straight to the ref and basically said “no I take it back.”
He grabbed his case and went to run but ended up in a small fight with Truth.

Gimmick match time as Santino and Kozlov tag against Regal and Ryder.

Now the last match of the night as Mark Henry takes on Nexus leader Wade Barrett and the rest of the Nexus was not aloud at ringside.
The match was great, Marks best match in a long time, and a great performance from Wade.
The Nexus came out at the top of the ramp nearing the end of the match which distracted Mark allowing Wade to get the upper hand.
He slammed Mark to the mat with his finisher; it was an impressive finish due to the size of Mark.
The Nexus then came to the ring and Wade called Cena out to have there face to face.
Cena came to the ring and proceeded to try and form a truce which apparently Sheamus already has.
Wade refused the truce and asked Cena to join them and reusing the statement. “Your either a Nexus or against us.”
Cena refused and went to leave. Once to the ramp he turned and said that regardless of the truce he has been working quietly to form a team to take them down.
He then introduced his team.
Edge, John Morrison, R-Truth, Chris Jericho and The Great Khali.
When we thought that was all of them John pointed to the stage and out came Bret The Hitman Hart.
Once together the stars charged the ring making the Nexus run out through the crowd closing the awesome show there.

So we have 2 matches set up for SummerSlam so far, the WWE Championship match and Nexus vs. RAW.

I think we will be in store for some interesting storylines in the coming weeks leading to SummerSlam.

That all for now Matty.D signing off.

Money in the Bank Burns a hole in Kane’s Pocket.

Well last night saw WWE’s latest PPV creation and it turned out to be a pretty damn good one.

The night started on a high and ended on a low as all the major moments where all earlier in the show.

The night started with SmackDowns! MITB to get us all on a high. Well we wasn’t disappointed as the superstars came to that ring and put on one hell of a PG rated ladder match.
The match was very back and forth, superstars were constantly climbing the ladders to win the briefcase high above the ring.
The main focus for the match at first was Big Show; he attempted to climb one of the standard ladders when the step broke under him the same as it happened on SmackDown! He then moved to get the reinforced ladder but was stopped.
He did eventually get the ladder and got it set up in the ring where it remained for the rest of the match.
During all that Kane had cleared off the announcers tables and Drew ended up lying upon the Spanish announcers table. Kofi set up a ladder near by and climbed to the top where he then jumped and nailed his double leg drop across Drew’s chest and breaking the table below him, a great moment in the match.
Big Show mean while kept attempting to ascend the huge ladder but kept being stopped, in the end Show ended up laying on the outside of the ring and the rest of the competitors burred him under a huge amount of ladders.
Later we saw Kane fail to throw Dolph Ziggler into said pile, but they recovered well and Kane turned it into a Choke slam off the apron onto the ladders below where Show was buried.
Matt and Christian took a fall off of the ladder when Drew came back around; he climbed the ladder and looked to become the winner. When we thought it was all over the crowed cheered as Kane removed Drew from the ladder, he then climbed it himself and retrieved the brief case to become the 7th Money in the Bank winner.

After a reasonable match from Eve and Alicia where Alicia retained her belt, and a short but good match from the Hart Dynasty and the Uso’s where the Hart Dynasty won, we had the World Title match.
The match, to me, seemed to be rough round the edges as I saw many moves that just didn’t work well but was still a solid bout.
The match had Jack focusing on Rey’s injured leg all the way through, constantly trying to lock in the Ankle lock.
The match was of reasonable length but in my eyes it just didn’t match up to how well it could have been.
The match ended with some Déjà vu. Rey loosened his boot so when Jack went to the ankle lock Rey was able to slip out easy, just like Eddie Gurerrero vs. Kurt Angle at Wrestlemania20.
The trick by Rey lead to him winning the match and retaining the world title. After the match was over Jack went back to work on Rey locking in the ankle lock.
Kane then appeared to come to the rescue. He brawled with Jack up the ramp and out the arena.
Rey sat holding his belt celebrating when the big red machine returned holding his brief case and accompanied by a Ref.
Kane got to the ring and he cashed in his Money in the Bank, he made short work of Rey and won the world title.
This is the second time in Kane’s career that Kane has held a world title and it’s been 12 years since his first reign. I’m glad he is back to being a champion as I’ve been wanting him back as a title contender for years.
Due to Kane winning the MITB and the World Title I owe the one and only Tommy Clee a drink as he predicted it all before the show started so well done to him.

The next match was Kelly Kelly vs. Layla, worst match of the night by far; the main highlight for me was Jerry Lawler’s quote.
“Now I know why I watch SmackDown! With the sound muted.” In regards to Matt Stryker’s voice.
Layla retained her title.

We then had the Raw MITB which had a challenge to look good after SmackDowns! Performance.
They did well but in my eyes wasn’t as good as SmackDowns! Show.
It did some great moments such as an RKO off a ladder, a succession of finishers on Mark Henry on the outside of the ring and high flying performances from Evan and John Morrison.
We also saw the ladders built together in a strange structure as the superstars climbed about it.
¾ of the way into the match after a succession of finishers from Evan and Randy, Evan looked to be the one to win as he climbed the ladder and got his hands on the latch of the case when Jericho pulled him self up from hanging upside down on the ladder and stopped him, it was then Edge who came up to stop Chris, then Randy came in and nailed the RKO to Jericho off the ladder followed by throwing Edge off into the structure built during the match, it looked to be over, Randy had it in his grasp, but The Miz came to shatter that dream. Miz removed Randy from the ladder and then climbed up himself, he unhooked the brief case becoming the 8th Money in the Bank winner, and further inflating the Ego of the Miz.
After the match Miz cut a promo preparing us for the future.

We then had the final match of the night as John Cena went up against Sheamus for the WWE Championship.
The match wasn’t too great in my eyes; it was slow boring and samey.
The crowd didn’t seem to be as lively now either. The match went on for a reasonable amount of time but just didn’t match up to PPV material.
The Nexus showed up near the closing moments of the match as predicted, they tried to stop Cena from escaping the cage; Justin Gabriel climbed the cage and fought Cena on the top to then be thrown in the ring.
As Cena tried again to escape the rest of the Nexus prevented his decent. Sheamus climbed the other side and went to make his escape he was almost stopped by Heath Slater, but Slater got swatted away and Sheamus escaped winning the match and then running away through the crowd yet again.
Cena gets down off the Cage and boils over taking out his frustration on the Nexus, beating them off and throwing the Steel Steps at Tarver before leaving in a huff and closing the show

The show was good in my eyes and I did enjoy most of it.

I give Money in the Bank 4 out 5 if it wasn’t for the Ladder matches it would have been only a 3.

On other news, which is actually nothing to do with WWE, is that my phone has decided that it won’t charge so it is now dead.
I will be getting it fixed but at the moment I am using my old phone so I am missing quite a few numbers. If you text me please put your name in the text so I know who you are.

That’s all for now Matty.D singing off.

Punk is unmasked!!!

Ok so I know most of you would have been watching TNA’s Victory Road PPV last night, but not to worry I’m still here to tell you what happened on SmackDown!

Well through out the night we had Jack Swagger in a few segments where he is waiting on his proof to not being the one who attacked the Undertaker.

At the beginning of the show we had Cody vs. Kofi in a non title match getting us ready for this Sundays Money in the Bank PPV.
The match ended with the big red monster heading to the ring and making a statement by choke slamming both Kofi and Cody.
He then took the microphone and cut a small promo about how Jack Swagger lies.

At the end of the night Jack Swaggers farther turned up with the evidence.
Both Jack and his farther head to the ring and cut a promo about what he was doing when Taker was attacked, he was showing pictures on the screen of him and his dad doing activities with the date in the corner of each photo showing his innocent.
The pictures were to perfect though and was obviously set up, I wish WWE would work on that sort of thing.
Kane came down and basically didn’t want to listen and went for Jack to choke slam him. His farther begged for Kane to stop. Jack got the upper hand and was able to apply the ankle lock, while Kane screamed in pain the injured Rey Mysterio came limping to the rescue. He jumped in the ring and hit a very well placed 619 on Jack.
Kane was able to get his hands on Jack and his Farther again, Jack escaped and left his farther with Kane. Kane then choke slammed Mr. Swagger as Jack cowered outside the ring.
Jack looked away and headed to leave while Kane also planted a Tombstone Pile driver to Jacks dad.
The show ended there.

Last night also saw the unveiling of CM Punks bald head in a brilliant promo by the S.E.S and the Big Show.
The promo was just the S.E.S and it was interrupted by Show. Show had a humorous piece about the S.E.S and the Money in the Bank match.
The whole segment was great and was fun to watch. During the segment Big Show went to climb a ladder but the step broke under him. He then had a custom made, reinforced, double sized ladder brought down, a huge heavy thing that had a few guys carrying it.
A brawl ensued and Show cleared the area Punk tried to get away by climbing the huge ladder. Once Show was done in the ring he climbed the ladder and got hold of Punk, Show held Punk’s un-injured arm so he couldn’t stop what Show was going to do next.
The best moment of the night followed as Show pulled the S.E.S mask off of Punks bald head.
I give this promo two thumbs up as I found it hilarious and I loved the fact that Punk looks like Big Show’s mini me.

Most of the other matches were good, we saw Drew go up against Christian. Good match but there was a moment that may have broken Christian’s neck.
Christian was perched on the ropes and the two men were brawling, suddenly, what looked to be out of anger or frustration, Drew shoved Christian hard making him flip over backwards, he hit his head on the ring apron and landed on the mat bellow.
Drew was like an angry school kid pushing people around on the playground.
Through out the rest of the match Christian kept holding his head.
Now if this was a planned move it was very well performed but may have still hurt Christian, if it was un-intentional then respect to Christian for continuing the match after it and I hope he is ok.

Matt Hardy went up against Dolph Ziggler, Dolph won after the Zig Zag another good match.

We also had Kelly Kelly tag with Chris Masters to take on Layla and a member of the Tag team known as the Dudebusters.
Kelly Kelly won after an odd distraction by Rosa Mendez the match its self was short and not well performed.

This was the last show before Money in the Bank so let’s look at the final match card:

Women’s Championship
Layla vs. Kelly Kelly

Divas Championship
Alicia Fox vs. Eve

Unified Tag Titles
The Hart Dynasty vs. The Uso’s

SmackDown! Money in the Bank.
The Big Show
Kane
Kofi Kingston
Dolph Ziggler
Christian
Matt Hardy
“Dashing” Cody Rhodes
Drew McIntyre

Raw Money in the Bank
Randy Orton
Evan Bourn
Edge
Chris Jericho
Mark Henry
John Morrison
The Miz
Ted DiBiase

World Heavyweight Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger.

WWE Championship Steel Cage
John Cena vs. Sheamus

**************************

So as you can see a nice full match card, down side is that with so many matches will there be enough time to see fit them all in.
We might see cretin matches be very short such as the two Divas matches and the Unified tag title match.

The event will be on SkySports1 and SkySports1HD at 1am Sunday night/Monday morning.

Matty.D signing off.

20 Man Battle Royal.

NXT this week didn’t do much for me I must say.
It only saw two matches and neither made me go oh wow.

Before the matches started Matt Stryker and Ashley Valence introduced the Pros, the rookies and the Nexus.

It then leads into the first match of Mark Henry with rookie Lucky Canon against Miz and rookie Alex Riley.
The match wasn’t that great but there was a moment that Lucky got thrown out the ring and looked to land head first on the steel steps, he didn’t actually land face first but he preformed it so well it looked good enough to make you go “ouch”.
Mark and Lucky got the win.

Then we had the Showtime Percy Watson Show.
He showed that he is still good with a microphone and did a short interview with his pro MVP.
He moved on to apparently trying to make a statement. He was joined by all the NXT season 2 rookies. MVP then was joined by the WWE pros. Before anything can happen Matt Stryker comes out and makes a Battle Royal. It was then that Wade Barrett spoke and put the Nexus in the match as well.
So this led into a very interesting 20 man battle royal.
It started like any Battle Royal all against all except the Nexus slid outside and picked on any one that’s eliminated. First it was Mark Henry eliminated and pounded on then Eli Cottonwood. When MVP was eliminated he put up a fight, he then had the assistance of Kofi and Morrison.
From that point it was all in the ring. One by one the Season 2 rookies was eliminated it came down to the 6 members of the Nexus vs. the 5 pros that was left.
Zack decided to get in the Nexus face when Miz turned on him and eliminated him. Miz then tried to form an alliance but when that failed he jumped the top rope eliminating himself.
Then a brawl started between the Nexus and Kofi and Morrison, Cody Rhodes just floated around the ring. Once Kofi and Morrison were eliminated Cody tried to form an alliance but ended up being beaten on and eliminated. Nexus was then announced the winner even though it was an all against all royal and there should have been one winner.
The Nexus then continued to make a statement by beating on Cody, Kofi and Morrison some more. Matt Stryker then got in the ring and asked the Nexus about the crowd reaction and if they were proud of what they did to John Cena.
Wade spoke about the bigger picture, he then came out with “your either a Nexus or against us.” A great slogan for the team, the show ended there.

Now the down side is all though it was the first signs of war between the pros and the Nexus it didn’t perform well to me. Also there were points when you clearly saw Cody on numerous occasions talking to the ref outside the ring and you also see Justin Gabriel do the same.
To most people would just think it’s just odd, but chances are Cody and Justin was being told about the routine, timing, and/or relaying messages. I think it should have been more discrete.
Also Alex Riley was eliminated due to blood as he was asked to leave the match by a ref due to blood coming from the back of his head or neck and running down his back.

The whole show just didn’t “pop” and nothing really made me get excited. The lowest episode in the NXT season so far in my eyes.

Matty.D singing off.

Air Bourn + RKO = EPIC!

All right guys sorry about the lateness of this blog but I’ve been out with Mum and Nan doing shopping.

Well Raw was pretty epic other than a few dull moments.

The main focus of the night was John Cena and the Nexus, also the members of the money in the bank.

The night started with John Cena with his typical humour, the Nexus came out and the group shared words with Cena.
During this the Raw GM sent and e-mail, it said that during the 6 on 1 Handicap match (Darren Young unable to compete) John Cena will not be aloud any out side interference, if there is interference said superstar will be suspended for 90 days. Also the Nexus must tag in and out of the match if they do not; said member will also incur the same fate.

After this good opening segment we lead into a low point as Alicia Fox faces Gail Kim, I decided to work on some art I was doing so all I know is that Alicia won and that Eve gets a rematch at Money in the Bank for the Divas Title.

The Uso’s and Tamina faced the Hart Dynasty, another great match seeing the Uso’s walk away the victors.
These teams will be going head to head for the Tag Titles this Sunday, unfortunately I feel that this story has lost steam.

Back stage we have Chris Jericho chatting to Wade Barrett, Wade basically thanking Chris for all he taught him.
Wade then bumped into Yoshi Tatsu who ended up being beaten on by the Nexus.

Next was a plug for the Money in the Bank match as Ted DiBiase and Maryse cut a good promo which had John Morrison come down and they have a little throw down.

Unfortunately this week had a guest host. The guest host was star of the Brady Bunch, Florence Henderson. So we just have to have a gimmick. We had a clip to promote the Santino Bunch vs. the Regal Bunch 8 man tag match to happen later in the night. It was followed by a slightly humorous back stage skit with Santino, Florence Henderson and William Regal.

We then have the best match of the night as Edge faces Randy Orton. It was a great match and the crowd absolutely ate it up.
The match came to an end when Jericho decided to come down, he distracted Randy and Edge took the advantage and took the win. While Edge was celebrating he turned into a code breaker, Chris then turned into an RKO.
When Randy seemed to be standing tall Evan Bourn joined the fray he gave Orton a kick to the head causing him to fall to the mat, Evan then headed to the top rope to do an Air Bourn, he jumped, he flipped and he was captured by an RKO. The moment was absolutely stunning and will be remembered for months maybe even years to come and chances are will end up in highlight reels.
The backstage guys realised how epic this moment was as it was replayed quite a few times and I was just stunned at how well it was pulled off.
I’m sure once Evan and Randy was backstage they would have been like “DID YOU SEE WHAT WE JUST DID!!”

Backstage again and John Morrison falls victim to the Nexus in a great backstage beat down.

Next was the Miz who cut a promo about taking R-Truth out the Money in the Bank. It was then that the GM reviled R-Truths replacement and the Miz’s opponent, Mark Henry.
Henry and Miz fought but it ended a no contest as Mark was thrown head first into the GM podium (notice how the laptop was conveniently removed form the podium) he was then covered in trash out of a near by bin by Miz.

Florence Henderson comes down next to introduce her gimmick match, nothing to special but little humorous as it included Doink the Clown and other gimmick stars. The Santino Bunch won and the Great Khali laid a big kiss on Florence.

Edge, promo backstage, yadda yadda yadda.
Then we cut to Evan Bourn nursing his neck backstage and he has a short face to face with Sheamus. The Nexus then tuned up so Sheamus decided to leave.
The Nexus then beats on Evan before leaving shot and Sheamus returns to mock the fallen Bourn. The Nexus return and Sheamus runs to John Cena’s locker room.

We then head into the Nexus vs. Cena. The match was good, lasting around seven minutes. Cena, after putting up a good fight, eventually was pinned after Gabriel’s 450 splash. As soon as the match was over Cena fetched a chair and wailed on Heath Slater.
The next bit was a fail, as Cena went to slide into the ring he caught the chair, and his face, on the bottom rope, once in the ring you can see he is bleeding I’m guessing from his failure to get in the ring properly.
Cena was surrounded by the Nexus when Sheamus came down with a chair and joined Cena in the ring. This was looking good until Sheamus hit the top rope for effect lost grip of the chair and it fell out of the ring, this caused him to have to go out of the ring to fetch it then get back in the ring to continue he also failed to get in the ring at one point as well.
The show closed there good thing to or they have broke something, or someone.

The show was great and the Evan, Randy moment had epic wrote all over it. Other than a few low points and the fail at the end with the chairs it was a good show.

Raw tonight and SummerSlam BBQ.

Just a quick blog.
First thing is Triple H will not be making SummerSlam due to an injury he suffered wile he out of action.
He was scheduled to return at SummerSlam to face Sheamus for the WWE Title, but due to the injury and a surgery he will now be unable to compete. Apparently WWE and Triple H didn’t want this news to get out, at least not yet. The post on Twitter from Blue Rays pitcher Dirk Hayhurst, has now been removed. The post in question broke the news to the world.
The focus of SummerSlam will most probably look to be the Undertakers return to face his mystery attacker. Rumours are he will be in a Casket match with Kane the storyline to that particular match is unknown that is if that match happens.

Raw tonight will feature John Cena vs. all 7 members of the Nexus in a handicap match; also Randy will be facing Edge.

Tomorrow’s blog will be late, most probably late afternoon to evening, as I will be out through the day.

Also SummerSlam 3rd annual BBQ will take place along with SummerSlam on the 15th of next month.
Text Messages will be sent out Sunday with info you will need. If you do not get a text but would like to come let me know and I will pass you a message also.

Drew does some begging.

Well if you ask me SmackDown! Was one hell of a show!
Usually when writing one of theses I would say that there were matches that were, ok, reasonable, or just plane bad, but that wont be the case in this blog as there wasn’t a bad, ok or reasonable match in sight! No, no the whole show wasn’t just talking and no matches before you think that.
Every match was a good one, even the promos where great.

The show continued some storylines to help fuel the fires that are burning.
We started with the return of the Scotsman, Drew McIntyre in the ring as he has sorted his Visa, (I’m sure his wife Tiffany is happy to have him back).
Now, due to Vince being “out of action” Drew hasn’t got anyone to give him special treatment, so this time when Teddy comes out Drew decides to kiss Teddy’s black ass. (No not literally!)
Teddy proceeded to get his revenge for what has happened over previous weeks. Drew wanted to get into the Money in the Bank Match and was kissing ass to get it, Teddy said that if Drew wants it he will have to get on his knees. Teddy then went on to make Drew shower teddy with complements and basically beg to get into the match. After all that Teddy still didn’t give Drew what he wanted. He said that Drew would have to beat Kofi to get into the match.
So later in the night Drew went against Kofi in a great match. The match ended up with Kofi getting DDT’d and Drew moves on to Money in the Bank.

The other major story was the Big Show, Rey, and Jack story.
During the night Rey was backstage with the Doctors and we was being told about his injury, it was during that moment that Jack stormed in. Jack attacked Rey’s injured leg and put the ankle lock on him, he then dragged Rey by the ankle lock, out of the room, down the hall, and into the arena by the stage. Before Jack could get any further Big Show came out to Rey’s aid.
Later in the night Jack and Show went one on one, the match didn’t end with a winner though as both got counted out.
Big Show was man handling Jack up the ramp, once on the stage Jack got the upper hand and left Big Show on the stage leaving out the side of the stage.
Once out he was grabbed by Kane and chucked into a red lit room to have a little “chat”.
Kane sits Jack down and starts accusing Jack of taking out the Undertaker, due to Jacks actions against Rey and Show it is apparently obvious that Jack did something to Taker as well. Well Jack said he has an alibi like Punk had one, he then said he would prove it on next weeks show.
The show ended there.

We also saw a triple threat between, MVP, Dolph Ziggler, and Chavo to decide who would take the other spot at Money in the Bank. Another great match witch saw Dolph put MVP to sleep and become the other man in the Money in the Bank match.

We also saw “Dashing” Cody Rhodes take on JTG.
What I loved about this was the debut of Cody’s new entrance music, video, and use of the titantron.
When he came out you will clearly see how they are using “Dashing” in the theme having it in the video and on the entrance way.
Once he appears part of the entrance becomes a digital mirror, he turns and checks him self out before heading to the ring. I though the hole thing was excellent and very well thought out, a very, very good entrance.
It leads into a good match and of cores the dashing one prevailed.

Matt Hardy tagged with Christian to take on Vance Archer and Kurt Hawkins. Vance and Kurt won due to Christian leaving the match.

We also saw the continuation of the S.E.S story.
Punk and Gallows came to the ring, Serena then came out to answer for her actions, she says sorry for what she did and that she did what she did because of the feelings she has for Punk. Gallows then said that she can’t choose weather or not she will stay in the S.E.S. and that she should just leave.
Punk then took the microphone and said that he was right, Serena can’t choose weather or not she stays, its Punk that chooses. Punk made that very clear to Gallows who seemed to of been taking charge of the situation. Gallows turned away from Punk when Punk said he forgave Serena. Gallows then walked away in huff.
This story is interesting and I’m not sure where its heading, but I suspect that the S.E.S is slowly falling apart. I hope Serena breaks loose soon, she is great in the ring as I have seen some of her matches (before the head shaving) when she was still in the FCW, and even with the shaved head you can tell she is very attractive, I want her to show us what she can do in a match as well as grow her hair back out.

It looks like SmackDown! Has picked up just like Raw has, I don’t know what it is WWE have done behind the scenes, but please, don’t stop!
Even as a PG company the shows they are producing are great.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the WWE don’t mess things up, and we keep seeing some quality WWE programming.
There is always room for improvement though, unfortunately any improvements that could be made would involve dropping the PG rating and changing it back to a rated 15 to 18 programming which we know what happen for quite a while.

Anyway that is all for now Matty.D signing off.

Percy Talks the Talk!

This weeks NXT saw the second rookie challenge, this week was the Talk the Talk challenge.

Just like last season a rookie is given a subject and they have to talk about it for a short time and the crowd decides the winner.

They went one by one with a different subject each, the first rookie to go up was “Showtime” Percy Watson, and he had the subject of glasses.
Showtime did an excellent job showing how he is great with a microphone in his hand. The others didn’t quite excel like Percy; in fact Eli made his own WWE pro cringe and hide behind his clip bored during his talk on moustaches.
Alex Riley cut a good promo on the subject of pigeons, and Kaval did a reasonable talk on Chickens.
Percy won the challenge and as he won he will be hosting his own talk show, similar to the Highlight Reel, the Peep Show, the VIP lounge and others, on next weeks show.

Now unfortunately Percy’s winning stopped there as he went up against Michael McGillicutty and came out the loser.
The match was reasonable not amazing.
The show is obviously trying something new, during matches the corresponding pro or rookie would stand on the corner like a tag partner “couching” the person in the ring.

Next match was The Miz vs. Kaval, once again Kaval left me in awe at his in ring ability, but unfortunately he lost to the US Champ after the skull crushing finale.

Last match of the night was a tag match, Lucky Cannon teamed with his pro Mark Henry to take on Cody Rhodes and Husky Harris.
Match was ok, I enjoyed seeing Mark just run through his opponents with a clothesline or a charge, it was great; Cody took the win after hitting Cross Rhodes on Lucky.
Apparently Lucky didn’t take the finisher well, which angered Cody, once back stage Cody continued to vent his anger.
Also Husky seems to be a favourite within the locker room even though the poll disagrees. He said to be a young Dusty Rhodes, a bad body but the agility of a footballer.

Carlito who was released from WWE back in May for failing a drug test has now made comments on his leaving, to read that head over to The Suns web site, link will be at the bottom.

Triple H is rumoured to return for SummerSlam but it is apparent that he has had surgery recently on a torn tendon in his upper arm, if this is so he should need two to four months to recover so he would not be able to return in time for SummerSlam.

Last thing to mention is that Vince McMahon has banned the “Ric Flair chop”; the reason for this is the fact that the crowd go “Wooo”, after each one regardless of who was doing it.
The chop was banned before Wrestlemania with the exception of Shawn Michaels; now that he has left no one should be seen doing it in WWE.

A Stone Cold Raw GM?

Last night we were given clues to who may be our Raw GM, but they seemed obvious so maybe there just throwing us off.

At the beginning of the show we had the Nexus in the ring, including Wade Barrett, who obviously sorted out his Visa.
Wade spoke to us about the Nexus. He said that he received an e-mail and that him and the Nexus had to be in the ring to face the consequences for there actions.
He then moved on to say he can’t tell us why they did what they did, and that it’s all part of a much bigger picture, and these are just stops on the way.
Wade then past it to Skip Sheffield. Skip said that what they did to the legends the week before was just for fun, and although we won’t admit it we the fans loved it. Well he is wrong there, because I did like it but didn’t love it, but I will admit that.
During Skips little speech the Laptop went off to signal an e-mail. Now apparently the sound alone of the e-mail coming in hasn’t been giving off the right effect so now they have combined it with a light flash.
Cole stands and reads an e-mail out. The e-mail basically said. The Nexus’s punishment for attacking Mr. McMahon is that no one in the Nexus will get a WWE title shot till further notice, also the rule from last week has been lifted, so now superstars and Nexus can collide.
It was then that John Cena made him self know and so did 6 other superstars. John Cena, Evan Bourn, Randy Orton, John Morrison, The Hart Dynasty, and R-Truth, making it 7 on 7.
The superstars charged the ring but was attacked from behind by there corresponding rivals, Chris Jericho, Edge, Sheamus, the Uso’s, Ted DiBiase and the Miz.
The Nexus escaped through the crowd as the superstars fought, in the end our face superstars got the upper hand, John Cena making a statement by giving an Attitude Adjustment to one of the Uso’s.
Cena and Sheamus shared words; Sheamus seems to be in support of the Nexus but only because they are taking out the right people and that all the Superstars on the stage supports it.
So it is now looking like a 3 way war.
Randy took the microphone and said how him and Cena are not friends, and probably never will be, unless they have to be. He then speaks to Edge about how they were jumped at Fatal 4 Way and how could Edge just let it slide, but then said lets finish what we started enticing them to the ring.
Message coming in from Raw GM, Cole says that none of them should even think about fighting right now, as all the Money in the Bank Superstars will be in action, and John Cena has to make a truce with Wade Barrett, John Cena said he would rather knock Wade’s teeth out.
GM’s reply was that he wants John to be the bigger man and if he doesn’t it will be met with the appropriate consequences, and that’s the bottom line cos the Raw GM said so!

Now if you know your WWE you would know that is a Stone Cold Steve Austin line, but apparently this is all one big tease, in fact Steve Austin didn’t even see the show as he tweeted that he missed it, also WWE said they have no plans of reviling it to be Stone Cold it’s all just a big tease. Or is it? Maybe they are trying to cover it up only time will tell.

John Morrison then went up against Ted in our first match of the night, Ted picked up the win after a little help from his “girl friend” Maryse.

The next match was the clash of the foreigners as Santino and Vladimir tag against, William Regal and The Great Khali.
The match was boring like usual for these 4; Khali didn’t even get in the match as Kozlov made short work of Regal. Khali then asks for Regal to be held up so he can chop him across the head. Then the three, and Ranjin Singh, dance in the ring.

Sheamus goes face to face backstage with one of the legends who got beaten on the previous week. They share words, nothing special there.

The Miz and R-Truth are scheduled to go head to head but instead The Miz hits Truth with a microphone, then moves to almost breaking the arm of Truth which ultimately takes him out of the Money in the Bank. This keyfab injury is apparently a cover for a legit injury that R-Truth has suffered.

Edge then holds a Cutting Edge show, he was scheduled to have 2 guests but he only interviews one, or should I say share words with.
Edge first talks about the Nexus, how he would rather have 7 powerful allies than enemies.
He then talks about MITB before introduces guest one Evan Bourn but insted gets guest number two, Chris Jericho.
Jericho and Edge share words about the Nexus and MITB. In the end the two start to fight, as Jericho puts Edge in the walls Evan comes down and gets in the middle of the fray.
Once the three separate the laptop goes off with another message and another sign that the GM is Stone Cold.
Cole reads, “The Raw GM says, and I quote, if you want to see some action give me a hell yea!”
So as you can see another tease.
He then makes the best match of the night as Evan tags with Randy Orton to take on Chris and Edge.

Evan is brilliant, and Randy is well, Randy, and you can’t be better than that, and once again Evan is in the best match of the night, and other than Triple H, Evan Bourn is my current favourite superstar.
The match was long and was very back and forth, and made sure that all 4 superstars had there chance to shine, and not a bad moment between any of them, it was just a bit slow in the middle.
The team of Edge and Jericho falls apart when Chris starts shouting orders at Edge. When Edge tags out Chris screams at him about not listening, but Chris ends up meeting Evans foot, it is then that Edge decides to spear, not Evan, but Chris and then leaves him for Evan to land Air Bourn.
As Orton and Evan celibate you could sense something brewing, and you would be right, as Randy spins Bourn around and nails the RKO on him.

Back stage Orton has a face to face with, David Otunga, Tarver and Slater. Orton listens to them but his answer to them is “get out of my sight.”
Basically the Nexus said they will not get involved in the MITB match but there is no guarantee they won’t get involved in the steel cage match.

The Hart Dynasty is announced to be going against the Uso’s for the Tag titles at MITB. Josh Matthews interviews.

Alicia Fox goes against Eve who invoked her rematch clause. Alicia wins by acting injured and pouncing at the right moment.

We then move into the final part of the night, Wade Barrett and John Cena in a face off and possible truce.
Wade is first to the ring and he talks about the bigger picture, Cena then came down to face him.
Wade says he does want to move on and that Cena is not in the Nexus’s future plans, but is leaving the choice to Cena.
Cena looked to possibly agree and call a truce, but just as the hand shake is about to happen, Cena pulls his hand away and says why stop when we are having so much fun.
Cena then makes a great talk and basically says that he will take down Wade and all the others in the Nexus.
Wade demands that Cena shakes hands, when Cena does so he lifts Wade up to do an Attitude Adjustment but is stopped by the Nexus, Evan Bourn comes to Cena’s aid but is beaten down, then John Morriosn comes down who receives the same fate, then all at once Mark Henry, the Great Khali, Kozlov, Goldust, The Hart Dynasty and Yoshi Tatsu come to the ring and the superstars are finally able to clear out the ring of the Nexus.
The Nexus escape all accept one, Darren Young remains laying in the ring.
E-Mail comes in, the GM said that he wanted peace and if things don’t stop there will be consequences, it was then that John Cena put Darren Young in the STF as the other superstars stood at the bottom of the ring.
The GM then said that Cena will face all members of the Nexus next week in a 7 on one handicap match.
Cena not so pleased beats the holly hell out of Darren Young, the crowd go nuts with chants and cheers as the story unfolds in front of them, Cena throws Darren around and then into the ring post and out of the ring, he then slides out and unlatches the steel steps, he then throws them at Darren hitting him squarely in the shoulder, he then chucks him over the announcers table and then flips the table before jumping in the ring to pose. The crowd go bonkers bringing an end to a brilliant show.

A good way to look at this is that WWE just lit a load of dynamite, and there will be a series of explosions in the coming weeks.

If you ask me WWE, epically Raw, has really picked up giving us 4 to 5 star shows, I love the Nexus storyline, the matches, and action has picked up, I just hope they don’t make any stupid mistakes like they have before and ruin it for us all.

Kurt Swagger?

Well SmackDown! Saw the continuation of Jack Swagger’s ankle lock, as well as the announcement of the first 6 people in the SmackDown! Money in the Bank.

The beginning of the show saw Jack Swagger in the ring talking about recent events, Big Show then came down to mock Swagger. On his way to the ring Show was attacked from behind by “Dashing” Cody Rhodes, that’s right, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes.
They beat down the big man until the World Champion Rey Mysterio came to his aide, sowing seeds for the tag match later in the night.

During the night before the tag match, “Dashing” Cody Rhodes did a back stage segment, talking to himself in a mirror using a comb for a microphone.

The last match was Rey and Show vs. Cody and Swagger. The match was reasonable, it ended with Jack Swagger locking in the ankle lock on Rey and not letting go even with Rey holding the ropes, as Big Show struggles to get to Rey, limping from the fight with Cody and the ankle lock the previous week, Swagger pulled Rey away even sliding out of the ring dragging Rey with him. Jack then let go leaving Rey in pain on the floor outside of the ring as Show continued to limp over to him.

Now I like this new angle and I don’t like it all at the same time, you see I like the idea of bringing in a new move and emphasizing it to be more powerful than it is so when it’s used we all go “ouch that must hurt.” Like with Dolph Ziggler and the sleeper hold. But why make it the ankle lock? It’s an obvious attempt to make Jack Swagger the new Kurt Angle of WWE, but face facts, Angle is on TNA and he isn’t coming back, it doesn’t mean you make a new one; you could have used many different submission maneuvers and it would have had the same emphasis with out being a Kurt Angle wannabe.

After the open segment the first 6 people in the Money in the Bank was announced:
“Dashing” Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, the Big Show, Matt Hardy, Christian and Kane.
The last two spots are still to be filled; I am guessing Drew McIntyre will more than likely fill one of those spots when he sorts his visa, the other spot is still a bit of a guessing game.

Also announced is Rey vs. Jack for the World Title.

We saw Dolph go against Kofi, Dolph trying to impress the apparent Cougar Vicki Guerrero. Unfortunately for him he was beating by Kofi, Vicki was not impressed and looked to of left him, now to move on to manage the next best thing.

Christian did a segment for the Peep Show, the ring was set up with ladders and the brief case hanging high above the ring, his guest was Matt Hardy. Both of them cut a great promo talking about the up coming event and stating that they would be the victor. As things came to a close in the Peep Show they finally kicked off, fighting each other until Matt was able to throw Christian into a ladder.

Interesting match between Kane and Luke Gallows. Before the match Luke, Serena and Punk were talking back stage, Serena saying they should just admit it; “it” though was still to be reviled.
After the match Kane was Choke Slamming every S.E.S member he could get his hands on, as he was preparing to slam Punk, Serena came running down saying that it was not Punk that attacked the Undertaker and she had proof.
Punk was shouting at her to not do it but she didn’t listen and asked for a tape to be played. We watched a CCTV tape from a bar dated the time and date of the Undertaker’s attack, in the video we watch as Serena, orders a drink, she drinks it with hesitation, and then has another until she is drinking shots with the guy next to her. After so long Punk, Gallows and the hooded man all come in and start shouting at her before leavening.
Back to the ring and Punk is thrown away and Kane leaves in a huff, Serena comes to Punks aid but Punk just shouts at her “do you know what you have done!” Well I know what she’s done, she has shown that the Straight Edge Society isn’t as Straight as we are led to believe, but it has moved Kane off of Punk as the person who attacked the Undertaker.
S.E.S may not see Serena in there future, if that’s so we may finally see her wrestle and grow her hair out.

MVP took on Chavo in a short, unneeded match, and Kelly Kelly took on Michelle McCool, the match was reasonable, Kelly picked up the win. She has now beaten both half’s of the “co” women’s champion.

Not the best show but not bad either, left me wondering about this new submission from Swagger, Serena’s future with the S.E.S, and who the two people are who will fill the last two places in the MITBLM.

Matty.D singing off.

NXT Poll is in!

This weeks NXT saw the first NXT poll, voted by the fans and the pros.
We also saw the return of the rookie challenges to earn immunity, this week’s challenge being the Keg carry.
It was the first part of the nights show as we watched each rookie lug the keg around the ring as fast as possible. The winner was Lucky Cannon so he gained immunity.
The best thing of the challenge is when Kaval went to the keg, the buzzer went so he could go but he took the microphone from Matt Stryker and stated that he wasn’t even going to try as the keg weighed almost as much as him.

Matches before the pole was announced were, MVP vs. Husky Harris, the match was going ok but then began to lose steam, most of the match saw Husky in control, at the end MVP took advantage and picked up the win.

The second match was a 6 man tag as Kaval tagged with Lucky and McGillicutty, to take on Eli Cottonwood tagged with Titus O’Neil and Alex Riley.
Another great match most of it saw Lucky Cannon getting beaten on by the other team until he finally got a tag to Kaval who did some amazing moves before picking up the win.
Kaval left me in awe that match, the height he got when he jumped off the top rope was amazing and his cartwheel kick was very impressive.

Later the polls were in and here are the results:

1. Kaval
2. Percy Watson
3. Michael McGillicutty
4. Alex Riley
5. Lucky Cannon
6. Eli Cottonwood
7. Husky Harris
8. Titus O'Neil

I was pleased that Kaval made the number one spot as he is such an awesome in ring performer, and some people do not like that he is stuck with LayCool, they find it insulting, but it has helped, LayCool are the favourite Divas tag team currently, with great microphone and promo skills to them, Kaval can learn from them the promo work I think he may need. Also the partnership between the 3 has been working well and I believe it has actually helped Kaval take that number one spot.

We wave goodbye to Titus O’Neil, he has a great background to him but just didn’t match up in the ring. I wish him well for his future.

Now onto some other things, Bret Hart has released a statement on his Facebook about his sister-in-law and her law suit, all I can say is he does not agree with it. To read that article head over to:
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/wrestling/

Also the sun has an article and statements that have been released about Bryan Danielson that is definitely worth a read.
