NXT. Lawsuit against WWE, and more.

NXT this week saw some good matches again form these rising stars, and some of them impress me more and more each week.

In the first match we saw The Miz and rookie Alex Riley, go against MVP and rookie “Showtime” Percy Watson. Alex Riley once again showed how he is good as an in ring performer, and so did Percy, unfortunately I do not like Percy’s persona fully. Some of it I like but most of it is quite silly and stupid.
The Miz and Riley took the win in a good contest.

The second match was Michael McGillicutty vs. Titus O’Neil. Not a very good match this time, all though McGillicutty is son of Mr. Perfect he is no way perfect. Titus has a good background to him, he worked to be where he is which is great but in the ring he didn’t really impress. During the match Titus and Michael messed up a possible good move, the match ended with Michael doing his finisher, which didn’t look as impressive as when he did it last week, and picked up the win.

Next match was my favourite of show as it was a David vs. Goliath situation as the 5’3 Kaval met the 7’0 Eli Cottenwood.
The match was brilliant as Kaval flew all over the ring; I think he spent more time in the air than he did on the ground. After a great set of moves Eli got hold of Kaval and literally just threw him to the ground to then pick up the win.
Kaval is my top rookie at the moment, even though he hasn’t won any matches yet and has LayCool as his Pros.

Lastly we saw Cody Rhodes go against Lucky Cannon, in the first Pro vs. Rookie match of the new season. The match was also a 5 minute challenge as last week Cody said Lucky would be Lucky, to last more than 5 minutes with Cody in the ring. The match was impressive but more on Cody than Lucky. Lucky was being controlled most of the match by Cody but Lucky did look to almost beat Cody although he was being thrown about. Cody picked up the win 1:02 still on the clock.

Before the show ended we had all the rookies’ final statement before next week’s polls.
Each rookie had 45 seconds to say why they are the next breakout star. People that stood out on the microphone were, Alex Riley, Titus O’Neil, Lucky Cannon and Percy Watson.
When Matt Stryker got to the last rookie, Husky Harris, Husky said he didn’t need 45 seconds before hitting Matt squarely on the back and then jumping on him while he was down before walking away. Obviously he is following the footsteps of his Pro and his actions the week before.

My NXT Poll:

1. Kaval
2. Alex Riley
3. “Showtime” Percy Watson
4. Husky Harris
5. Eli Cottenwood
6. Lucky Cannon
7. Titus O’Neil
8. Michael McGillicutty

In other news Owen Hart’s widow is sewing WWE for the use of Owen Hart in DVD’s and other publications.
I have read threw two articles on the subject and my thoughts are that she is just wanting money as she has attempted to sue WWE in the past.
She sued the WWE back in 1999 after the death of Owen and won a nice settlement of $18million.
She also attempted to sue the company about the release of the DVD on the Hart Family back in March, it was quickly thrown out of court and the DVD was released, also Martha was made to pay WWE legal fees.

Also Bret has now left the WWE but apparently the reason is in no relation to the lawsuit. It is to do with his insurance. The Suns article goes more in depth on that subject.

When we watch SmackDown! Tonight we will most probably not be seeing our new World Champion Rey Myestrio as he has asked for the week off to take his Family on Holiday to Hawaii.

And lastly quite a funny bit of news about former WWE and TNA star, Lisa Varon, AKA Tara or Victoria, had her car broken into outside her house, stolen was a set of custom wheels worth $3000.
The thief’s then went to a custom dealership to find out how to fit them on his own car. The Dealership that he went to was called, Black Widow Customs. And guess who owns that Dealership, none other than Lisa the person he stole from.
The employees at her shop recognized the wheels and called the police. The thief was arrested.
In laymen terms the guy got PWNED!!!!

SmackDown! On tonight at 10 on SkySports4 and SkSports4HD.

Matty.D singing off.
