PG Massacre on Raw.

Well Raw was a viewers choice night, great idea and did work well for most, unfortunately for me I could not make votes through most of the night, I was guessing this was due to the amount of people on the site voting and it overloaded it.
But anyway regardless of the downside of not being able to vote most of the night, the show was brilliant, yes this was mainly due to the shocking end but I will get to that.

Let’s just go through the show from the beginning.
We started off with the 2 general Managers talking about the night ahead when Randy Orton came down, and demanded to have Edge in a match, even though he had his arm in a sling.
The mangers agreed and asked the crowd to decide how they would face each other, we had some options, but the crowd decided with them going against each other in a match, with the stipulation of Edges arm tied behind his back.
This happened later on in the night and it was a short lived contest, it ended with Edge being disqualified, because Edge freed his tied arm and started beating on the injured Orton, Edge then lied up for the Spear but was stopped by a kick from Randy who then kicked Edge out the ring, Randy then came out to continue fighting Edge, but Edge was ready with a chair and used it to focus more on the injured shoulder, something tells me from the way this story is going, Randy may not make it to F4W.

After the opening segment we had the Big Show vs. Chris Jericho, viewers choices were, Over the Top Rope Challenge, Body Slam Contest, or a Submission match. The WWE universe went for the body slam contest but it wouldn’t have mattered as Show gave us all three, he slammed Chris, made him submit, and then threw him over the top rope.

The next match was The Hart Dynasty vs. The Uso’s, or The Dudebusters or The Great Khali and Hornswggle, of cores the world went for the gimmick team of Khali and Hornswaggle. The Harts won that. After the end of the match the Uso’s came down but got cleared out of the ring this time so Harts stood tall.

We then saw Kozlov vs. Santino and the thanks to the fans it was a Dance contest, and shockingly Kozolv could dance and dance good, he took that win with ease, Kozlov dance is a must see.

Maryse won a Divas battle royal chosen by the fans.

Kane had a backstage moment accusing Sheamus of taking out the Undertaker, after an ad break the fans put Kane in a match with the Ginger man.
Kane won due to Sheamus getting himself counted out and walking away, this left Kane extremely frustrated.

We then had the Miz vs. R-Truth with partners that we decided, for R-Truth we gave him John Morrison, and for Miz we gave him Zack Ryder.
Match went well it ended with Miz nailing the Skull Crushing Finale.

Next up was Drew McIntyre vs. A) Goldust, B) Yoshi Tatsu, or C) a mystery opponent, who was only shown as a shadow and looked to be some crazy man.
We went for an ad break and when we returned it was reviled to be the mystery man, the shadow then threw up the V1 sign and it hit me that the mystery man was, Matt Hardy. When Matt got to the ring Drew straight away grabbed a microphone, and complained but Teddy Long was quick to explain to Drew that Matt is suspended from SmackDown!, not Raw.
This was a great match; finely seeing Matt Hardy get his hands on the Scotsman was a great thing.
Matt won after a smooth Twist of Fate, after the pin Matt continued to beat on Drew, Drew was able to slip from his hands and get away from the ring to safety and Matt stood holding some of Drew’s hair.

We had the final segment from the A-Team before we saw the main event. Through out the night we have had some silly, but quite funny, scenes from Rampage Jackson and Sharlto Copley.
I am not going to say much on the subject just watch it if you’re interested in guest hosts, because I just think they are a waste of time now.

Last thing is the big ending, John Cena vs. Rey Mystreio or Jack Swagger or CM Punk.
CM Punk was chosen so him, and the S.E.S, came to the ring and started the match.
It was all going fine and dandy, typical match other than the fact that Punk kept sliding out of the ring to fix his mask as Cena was aiming to remove it.
All of a sudden during the match NXT season 1 winner Wade Barret came out at the top of the ramp and walked slowly to the ring, on his arm he had band on that yellow and black N on it.
John Cena, started shouting at him, we then saw the eliminated NXT rookies coming out through the crowd all wearing the same arm bands.
They came in a beat the hell out of Punk and Gallows; they then got in the ring and surrounded Cena, The following I would describe as a PG rated massacre, it was like a scene from a war film, or game, but instead of weapons and death it was just a beat down with PG wrestling.
The reason I say massacre is because they didn’t just beat on Cena, when done there they started destroying the ring area, they pulled the ring apart, the barriers, flipped the Announcers table, even beating up Matt Stryker, The King, the ring announcer, the time keeper, any one that came to stop them was beaten up, just full on any one and anything had to be beaten or destroyed.
They then came back into the ring and beat up Cena more before finally leaving the area which looked like a warzone.

We all have said that WWE is predictable and samey, but not in a million years did I see that coming, epically to the magnitude we saw as well.
I was stunned and shocked by it and just didn’t know what to think. All I know I loved it, it was different, it was a change, and it just blew everything wide open. What will be next for this story? Will they destroy NXT, or SmackDown!? I will be watching this very closely to see what is going to be next form the NXT season 1 rookies.

That’s all for now I will do a second blog later in the night or tomorrow with more details on things in the WWE.

Matty.D signing off.
