Last nights Raw was an interesting one.
It started with Vince telling us basically that Bret Hart is fired as GM of Raw. He then said that the new GM is an anonymous person who will give there instructions by e-mailing a laptop sitting with Michael Cole at the announcers table. When the new GM wants to make announcements or changes he sends an e-mail then Cole is to stand and read it out to us.
After that first announcement from Vince the first e-mail came through, the e-mail from the new secret GM plainly stated that the NXT Season 1 rookies are now all hired to the Raw roster.
After the first announcement Sheamus came to the ring went on to say how he did not want to win the WWE Championship the way he did at Fatal 4 Way. Just as he is about to hand the belt to Vince he changes his tune keeps the belt and pretty much brags and thanks the NXT rookies.
Next to join the promo was John Cena, he comes down and says he is glad that the NXT rookies have been hired because he doesn’t have to constantly be wondering if they are going to attack, he now knows they will attack. He then moves on to say as he is the former champion he has a rematch for the title and challenges Sheamus for that night.
It was then that another e-mail came in and Cole announced that the match will happen, with special guest referee Vince McMahon. It was not to be Guest Ref though it was more of a special enforcer but I will get to that.
Natalya was scheduled to have her first one on one match on Raw since the draft against the new Diva, Tamina, this match went on for a few minutes and was looking good when the NXT rookies came flying down to the ring. They beat up the Harts and left them in a heap on the outside of the ring.
The NXT rookies then, one by one, apologised for all the different things they have done as well as apologising to the WWE, John Cena, the WWE Universe, and more and stated that it was nothing personal.
This apology wasn’t sincere as during the main event of Sheamus vs. John Cena the rookies came to the ring again.
By the way, the match was going well before NXT showed up, and I thought it was good contest, but like I said before Vince was not the Ref he was on the outside of the ring and there was a normal Ref in the ring, so technically he was a special enforcer.
But back to the rookies, they came down and Sheamus legged it out through the crowd before the rookies could get to him, after he got away the rookies focused there attention on John Cena again, beating him up then throwing him over the announcers table into the empty chairs on the other side as Cole and King had already ran away when the rookies showed up.
The rookies then got in the ring and stood tall; Vince grabbed a microphone and started to praise the rookies for what they just did, (obviously just kissing ass so he doesn’t get hurt himself) the rookies stood and looked like they was about to attack but then smiled as if they was joking and Vince said that it scared him, then the rookies smiles went and they surrounded the chairman, no smiles this time as they beat on him, slammed him about, and Gabriel done the 450 splash on him, they then left Vince broken in the ring, the show closed with a camera man calling for aid to help Vince.
The whole storyline has taken an interesting turn, and left me with some questions, like, who is the anonymous GM? Or what will be Vince’s response to the last attack? Is the new GM working with the NXT rookies? Is the new GM Daniel Bryan? So many questions we want answers to, we will just have to wait to find out what we all want to know.
Rumours floating around is that Triple H maybe the man to come back and save us from the NXT rookies, also there has been another push to bring back Daniel Bryan as the animal loving foundation known as PETA, sent a letter to Vince saying how they would like him back on Raw (mainly because Bryan is a vegan).
The rest of the night was pretty good, best match of the night once again was the high flying Evan Bourn vs. Chris Jericho, this time though Jericho said if he loses he would leave the WWE forever. Well do not worry you Jericho-holics he won the match and is staying on our screens, for now at least anyway.
We had Eve tag with the Great Khali to take on Alicia Fox and Primo, the Divas side of the match was good but once Primo and Khali was in it was just a beat down. Also Alicia left half way through the match.
Ted DiBiase fired his former body guard Virgil and now has the French Canadian Maryse on his arm. He was meant to go against John Morrison but he hired Zack Ryder to replace him, both Ryder and Morrison had there rookies with them. Morrison took the win after Star Ship pain, personally I think Morrison needs to work on his finisher as he never seems to land it properly and makes it look very poor.
Randy Orton was cutting a promo when The Miz came to interrupt him, when Miz was about to say he was Awesome he kicked Randy in the gut and started to brawl with him, Randy did get the upper hand when all of a sudden Edge came in and speared Randy. He then took the microphone, and said “Now the real fun begins.”
Last thing to mention is guest hosts will continue but it maybe now every other week instead of every week. Next week we see rock star and horror film director Rob Zombie visit Raw.
That’s all for now, NXT will be this Thursday for us Brits, so Blog for that will be Frinday.
Matty.D signing off.
